Hermary's was founded in 1963 by Clarence Hermary, a veteran industry tech with an eye towards the future. Unheard of for his time, Clarence pioneered designing and building switches and controls for whole-home audio, later adding visual technology. Today, Hermary's is a trusted advisor and leader in the smart home technology industry, working with architects, designers, electricians, and builders. Hermary's team educates its clients to make good decisions regarding today's available solutions. We deliver systems that are exciting and easy-to-use, with a single app, giving you full control of your Oakland or San Francisco residence to automate audio, video, security, shades, lighting, and more.

Clarence Hermary

President & Founder

Clarence has been a part of the San Francisco Bay Area electronics industry since the very beginning. He transitioned from building and repairing television sets in the early 1960’s, to designing luxury custom cabinetry, and even lent a hand in the development of rear-projection televisions in the late 1990s. Even after 50 years, the passion that ignited him as a young entrepreneur still shines bright today as he leads the transition to a new era for Hermarys. Clarence still resides in San Carlos till this very day.

Paul Foley

Chief Executive Officer

Paul has over twenty years of industry experience through engineering, design, and sales. Over the past decade, he has helped transform Hermary’s from a retail store to one of the leading home integrators in the San Francisco Bay Area. Due to his vast knowledge, modern innovation, and vision, Paul is a trusted advisor within the luxury home electronic community and is often sought for his expertise. He lives in the San Francisco Peninsula with his Wife and Children.
